ICU - Day 14. Friday Afternoon.
-- Had initial Surgery 2 WEEKS ago Today.
-- TEMP was high this morning - 103. Down to 99 now.
---> Doctors trying to determine the cause of the spikes in TEMP.
-- Slightly Dehydrated this morning.
-- Still SEDATED, but she seemed aware of us this morning. She tries to talk to us, but cannot due to intubation. Frustrating for Lori and us. According to nurses, she won't remember any of this. We'll see.
---> I played her some Al Green on the CD player this morning.
-- Until her Stats are better, Doctors will not perform the TRACHEOTOMY which is tentatively scheduled for MONDAY.

I'm just one of those CNNers who was the occasional head nodder and grinner, when we encountered Lori rushing this way or that through the halls. "Hello Lori", and she's zooming off on her mission.
There are many of us here like that, and here's one prayer from one guy. Love and prayer work, sometimes in ways we least expect. So here's one for the whole family.
Oh, and a warm hand on your arm. That touch helps, without a doubt.
Have felt it once myself, when I really needed it, too.

I just wanted to convey our thoughts and prayers on behalf of the Clark family. Lori, Johnny and Mr. and Mrs. Sneed are on our mind and we wish them every bit of positive energy we can send.
I know we're all far away, but if there's anything we can do, please do not hesitate to let us know.
Hopefully, all of this will soon pass and we can sit on the deck of the Yacht Club enjoying a cocktail. Oh wait....ok, maybe we can meet at one of Saucier's finer establishments then.
Just seeing your beautiful, smiling face on this website brings me joy, Lori. You've been the inspiration for many heartfelt prayers and tears these past weeks, and I do hope they've somehow done you some good. We love you, Katherine and Hardy
Lori, you are in my thoughts and prayers. Your perseverance, personality, and attitude continue to inspire more people than you'll ever know!
Lori and Sneed Family, I am praying for a fast recovery every day. Lori you surprised the doctors once with your strength and determination, I know you can do it again. You are one of the strongest people I know and I admire you so much. To the Sneed's if I can do anything for you from Gulfport please let me know? I know you have a lot of support and it's because you all are such a great family. My prays are with you.

cub reporter johnny wasn't able to update last night, so i will give info patti just related to me.
lori had a sonographically guided thoracentesis in her room yesterday (1 liter of fluid removed from around her lung) which is GOOD -- that gives her an entire extra liter of lung capacity.
today at 11:00 she will have a CT guided percutaneous drainage performed in X-ray -- that's where they use CT to guide them putting a plastic tube straight into a fluid collection that is in her abdomen, but outside the intestines. if successful, this is also very GOOD -- typically patients get much better after this is done.
lots of reasons to be hopeful, so keep those positive vibes strong.
