Bump in the Road---Breathing Tube back in.

johnny, here, typing what mom just told me on the phone.

Pulminologist said it was worth trying to give LORI the chance to be off the ventilator; but, early in the morning, Doctors had to re-intubate.
On the positive side, Doctor says "she hasn't lost any ground". He plans to keep her sedated, let her get stronger, and have a THORACIC Surgeon perform a TRACHEOTOMY next week.

We are still planning for Lori to go to Shepherd Center for rehabilitation. Shepherd Center is where Lori went for rehab in 1991.

We knew that removing the tube might take some time, but we were hoping otherwise.

thankyou

Patti:

It was so good to hear your voice this a.m. I know how weary all of you are but hold on and things will keep improving. This is just another hurdle but she will pull through this as well.

We're still hoping an praying.

I have always admired Lori's positive / sunny personality. Her can - do attitude has inspired me since I joined St. Marks. I will pray for all the Sneeds.
Rest and get well Lori. God Bless the Sneed family. Kathleen Ford 2:00 (p.m. Thursday, May 4, 2006).

Hi Lori..
I could not let another day go by without sending along some well
wishes.
My name is Claire and we've really only had conversations at the
salad bar at work.
One day you asked me how I stayed in shape....
( which I'm really not..but how utterly sweet of you to think so...)
I told you how I really liked to swim laps but it had been difficult
starting up again after not doing it for
awhile and it takes awhile to get your endurance back.
You then said something like...." Well, that's just great. Hang
tough..get through the hard part."
I never forgot that.
So....today,dear Lori, I say..."Hang tough..get through the hard part".
Everyone here at CNN here is pulling for you.
Reading all the entries its apparent how you've touched so many lives
in this building.....
even if just for a moment at the salad bar.
You're in my prayers.
Claire
