a little bit of BREAKFAST

Lori was able to eat some breakfast today. "I'm excited," she said. Grits, frosted flakes, and orange juice.
- Later this afternoon, Lori will continue to try to breathe without the ventilator and use the talking adaptor.

thank you

Food, glorious food...

Lori, it's so wonderful to hear these updates. I know your family only posts entries once a day, but I still find myself checking the blog at least 5 times a day waiting for the next one. You're truly remarkable in your perseverance. My prayers and thoughts are with you every step. ;) Take care.

Real food and a shampoo. These are major steps in the right direction. You're in our prayers.

Sneed Family,

Eating, drinking, clean hair, putting on lipstick, breathing without the ventilator, talking...how wonderful. So many of us take these precious few events for granted. Keep up the good work, Lori...we continue to keep all of you in our prayers.

Lori,
Thank God! I'm so glad to speak to you and know you can hear my words read to you! (atleast I'm asking Mrs. Sneed or Johnny if they will) Just think Pizza isn't too far away!

Please know that there is not a second that goes by that you are not in my thoughts. I wish I could be there to comfort you and help your family and be your "assistant" that I do so well:) I promise, however, to be there as soon as your family says the time is right.

You mean the world to me and I love you dearly.

Much love,
Karen

Lori,

I've always known you were a fighter, but this just confirms what I've always known. I'm SOOO happy to hear the progress you've made! I'm glad to know that next time I see you, you'll be able to talk with me! Can't wait 'till you get to Shepherd -- you'll have to throw me out of your room.

I know how it is to want your hair & face washed. But it is a very Lori thing to wear lipstick in ICU. I can honestly say that in all my time in the hospital, I've NEVER put on lipstick! LOL Even when you're sick you crack me up sometimes.

This time when I come to visit, you'll know that I'm there (I don't think you remeber my earlier visit).

I'll see you at Shepherd, sooner rather than later!

Since I do not believe that I can adequately describe my feelings towards quick payday and how incredible it is to me, I decided to let somebody else describe it, for me. I am choosing to blog today about quick payday
