Discharge Date!!

Can you believe it?? After 146 days in the hospital, LORI is going to check out and go home this week!!

Doctors think she is strong enough, and for that, we're very thankful. Her rehab is just beginning, however. She must eat extra calories to gain weight and extra protein to help heal the sacral sore. She must do physical therapy to benefit her arms and to eventually straighten her legs which have been bent for so long. She must build up her skin tolerance to be able to sit in her chair. And finally, she must build up her stamina.

So, with a checklist in hand, we'll begin another chapter. stay with us, and we'll keep you posted.

thank you all for your continued support.

P.S. The home office of "Fans-R-Us" was damaged during Katrina, so there have been no emails. But as a reminder, Johnny will be on the Fox show, "HOUSE", on Sept 12.

Dear All,
What great news!!! I bet Lori makes even more progress when she gets home just being in her place again. We are so happy that she is doing so well, even though the rehab is not going to be that easy.
We are excited about Johnny's role in House, and so proud of him too.
Love, Jan and Walter

This is WONDERFUL NEWS! For those of us who do not have it, is there a home address in Atlanta, or can we email Johnny for it, in case you want to keep it private? I had some more Rolling Stones I was going to send Lori's way.
This is the best news ever! Congratulations all around!

LORI!!!!!!!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!!!!! YOU must be so excited to take that check list out the front door of Shepherd and onward to the comforts of your ultra organized home sweet home. AHHHHH. At last...your remote, your tivo, your shower, your own couch, your own rockin' van...sounds so good and i feel so relieved knowing you will be home. My plan is to move home in October so looks like one of my first stops will be casa de lori.

so much love

Lori,
We're waiting to hear that you are home and readjusting to home-cooked food, ice cream anytime you like, (and don't forget the J.D. if it helps you sleep or adds weight). Watching Johnny on your own TV Tuesday night should be a treat!!! Keep us posted. We love all of you.
