hanging in there

6:30 p.m.

- just returned from hospital. Lori is sedated and a little swollen, which we expected
- TEMP is rising after being too low following surgery.
- Kidneys are producing better amounts of urine compared to post surgery. meds regulating blood pressure.
- hoping that various organ problems will not plague us during this recovery, even in her weakened state.

No visitors in the ICU for now.

thank you. Love,
sneeds

We love you and are continuing in prayer...will leave for Mississippi in the a.m. to see abt Buddy's mom and sister. Patrice, Buddy's sister, said to tell Lori she is praying for her. We will follow the updates while we are there and continually thank God for the power of prayer and for giving us this way to feel connected to those we love when we are so far away. I know the God of all comfort is there with you. Blessings and love to our special friends...

We are so glad to hear that Lori is "hanging in there" - she is in our thoughts and prayers repeatedly on a daily basis. Those listening to us are hearing a lot of "Lori prayers" from her friends and family. Your title for the May 6th entry must apply to all of you. "hanging in there" conjured in my mind that silly cat poster from years ago of a feline hanging precariously from a branch and my mind quickly replaced the cat with the Shortman. Even a mind's image is worth a thousand words. ALL of you will be pulling yourself up on that branch and climbing to a safe place very soon. You know that you can call on us whenever you feel the need - what you may forget is that if you do call on us that you are doing us the favor. We are here for you in the most sincere way.
Take care of yourselves for Lori, each other and us!
Love ya, Marcia Murphy
P.S. Recently, my family has been hearing a lot of "Hey, come in here! Johnny Sneed's on this show!" Good work J!

Shorty, Patti, Johnny, I received this from a friend of mine who spent 6 weeks in ICU with her husband who is now fine in spite of 3 brain surgeries this past summer. So many friends, so many family members, so many strangers with their hands on you all and lifting you up. We love you. Myra

Patti, Shorty & Johnny,
As I sit here with my fingers on my keyboard, I find myself at a loss for words....wanting so much to find some special words to comfort you. If there was a way to help you carry this load, I would surely do it. Patti, I send my love and prayers specially for you because as a mother myself, I can imagine how hard this is for you. Faith and I love all of you so much - to us you are the perfect family. God is with Lori and He will take care of her. We continue to pray .......
Much love,
Brenda
