Tubes, leaks, and ice cream sandwiches
(johnny, here, typing) Patti said that except for a few things, today was ok. BUT, after I talked to LORI, she wanted to clarify that today actually sucked. The stomach feeding tube came out accidentally, there was leak from another tube, the bed sore bandage had to be changed (it was painful), and a nurse dropped a cell phone on Lori's head. So, to try to make herself feel better, Lori asked for an ice cream sandwich, buuuuut the ice cream machine was out of order.
To make up for all of that, Mom added a little Jack Daniels to Lori's protein shake that she had with Dinner.
Physical Therapy is working with Lori to make decisions about 2 new chairs - power and shower.
Still planning on surgery Friday to repair the sore on her back.
Daily, Lori continues to try to regain her strength and dexterity.
Patti really appreciates the help from Lori's friends in Atlanta.

Jack Daniels beats ice cream any day! Next, have them get some Häagen-Dazs Baileys Irish Cream ice cream. it's yummy! It's great reading "Lori asked/said" ....but I'm still trying to picture a nurse dropping a cell phone on her head. You keep the stories coming while we keep the prayers going.

Hah!! :) Y'all crack me up! Lori, you know things are on the up and up and things are getting back to normal when you have Mondays like that. Hang in there sweets. We love you and can't wait to make it down from the mountains to hotlanta to see you and family.

Lori: I love how you set the record strait about how your day really went. Jack can be your best companion on days like that. I hope today is better. You will be out of there before you know it.
I have to agree with my brother on this one...kudos on tellin' it like it is, and cheers to Aunt Patti for spiking your protein shake! And you will be out of there before you know it, Lori--unless people keep dropping cell phones on your head. I would have been pretty mad about that...
Lori-- I can't wait to visit you--I am out west for a week, but when I return will be hoping to see you and say hi--I have been praying for your recovery and can't wait to bring our old weight lifting gear with me so we can work out (kidding)--Hang in there and I can;t wait to see ya--Tracy (your old trainer)

Had to go to Fla. for a couple of days to check on my Mother and couldn't check on you all. Poor Lori, sounds like alot of JD should have been added to her shake. You guys are the greatest, no matter what we can count on you for a chuckle.

that reminds me of the guy that dropped his suitcase on lori when he was trying to put it in the overhead bin!!!! are these people joking? keep spiking lori's shakes and tell johnny to get off his butt and make a run to BR...)in the peachtree battle shopping center) to get Lori some ice cream sandwiches.
