Paging Lori Sneed

Mornings are busy at Shepherd.
Getting nutrients at night. Disconnecting the feeding tube during the day. Still weaning off the ventilator. Still having to be suctioned several times a day.

Pressure Sores looking a little better. Hoping they will continue to heal and not need surgery.

Lori told mom this story. Lori was in her chair, outside of her room and started talking with someone. she moved from the spot where a therapist was supposed to meet her, and as Lori was talking, she heard over the intercom: "paging Lori Sneed...Paging Lori Sneed"

Nobody can keep up with Lori.

Good story. Hopefully Lori will continue to stray more and more and soon she will no longer need anyone to page her. Keep up the continued progress.

Dear Sneeds:

After being gone for 7 days and no computer access, I couldn't wait to get home to check on our girl! I was delighted to hear such encouraging news about her progress.

As always, our love and prayers are sent to ALL of you!

Hi! Hope you got the cd's I sent. Unfortunately some of the songs in the middle skip---I guess something wrong with my CD maker. But I hope you enjoy them anyway. We had fun seeing Grandma and Shorty this weekend. Bella has been here with us this week. We have had a great time but are EXHAUSTED! We keep up with your updates and are so happy to hear you continuing to improve. We love you! Doug, Jennifer, and Bella

Lori,
I can just see your face when you heard them paging you... Hysterical! So "Bueller, Bueller". I love it that you had white Keds with your name painted on them...of course you did.
Thinking about you...along with many many others.

Lori,
I am thrilled you are now at Shepherd. What a great place, I was a student there in 1994 for an internship in OT. I don't know if I ever told you this, but the reason I got into OT (and did an internship there) is because I learned about it when I was there visiting you. I actually know some folks there and they were to be keeping an eye on you while you were in the acute care hospital...hopefully you got my messages.
I am thinking of you and can't believe how great you are doing. I would love to see you, will try to make a trip to Atlanta. Will try to get Terri to meet us there too. Give yourself and family a hug and kiss from me.

Love,
Toni Wackerfuss
