CONTINUING TO MARCH

Beginning of the second week at Shepherd is one in which assessments are continuing. Same routine - off the vent during the day and on at night. Talking valve goes in or out depending upon her strength and feelings.

Met twice with Dr. Leslie, her Prince Charming from 15 years ago, who is now Medical Director at Shepherd. He is very positive with Lori. Shorty spent the afternoon trying to explain to Lori what she has been through for the past almost 3 months. Understandably, she is having a hard time grasping how sick she was and far she has come. Progress is continuing v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y. It is very emotionally draining on Lori and Patti, as care provider.

Lori has said she would like to receive cards at Shepherd. Address is:

Lori Sneed
Shepherd Center - Room 312
2020 Peachtree St NW
Atlanta, GA 30307

Continue to concentrate on breathing, pressure sores, weight gain and strength through nourishment.

Thanks for your continued support.

Dear Sneeds,
We can certainly understand that Lori is confused about all that she has been through and anxious to get back to normal. She has come such a long way since April and we are so grateful that she has and so proud of her too. We will keep the prayers going that it won't be long before she is feeling much stronger and she can see and fell the improvement that we are seeing in her. God be with you all.
Love, Jan and Walter

Give Lori my love. As she gains strength, I know her spirits will rise.

Hi Y'all! Hang in there Lori! Everything is going to be o.k. I can't imagine how difficult this must be for you but I know in my heart that you can do this! Doug's dad always says that life is full of peaks and valleys and that we just have to hang on for the ride sometimes. I think about that a lot during tough times in my life. I don't know if that is helpful or not but it helps me so I thought I'd pass it on. We love you and think about you everyday. Hang in there chica! Love, Doug and Jennifer

Dear Lori and family,
We are so delighted to know you are progressing. Even if it is slow it is progress. We wish you God's strength and love to get you through. Your courage is such an inspiration to us.
God's peace,
Lynn and Doug Singletary
